History

In the history of the Antarctic, this time, I describe the discovery of the Antarctic. At first, What I want you to know is that many continents now were one continent 200 million years before. So it was divided gradually. An antarctic have very interesting history. A long times ago, an antarctic had been regarded as mysterious continent. And Antarctica was discovered in 1820. However, the discoverer of Antarctica has not decided.  I think that it is uncanny to explore the unknown ocean. Thanks to such an expedition, there is a map for now. I think we should be familiar with those people. Before Antarctica was discovered , Ship  by Captain Cook  was looking for. However, they approached to about 100 km, they were not able to find the end.   

But Captain Cook had guessed the presence of Antarctica. And I leave the word "land is located in the higher latitudes than 60 degrees south latitude, in the land of ice and snow covered with small barren, would pose no wealth for mankind". I think the imagination of people in the past is great. However, it was unexpected so late discovery of Antarctica. However, it was unexpected so late discovery of Antarctica. Why is it so late but there was the technology to cross the sea? The reason is the position of Antarctica. Antarctica is away from other continents and people can not live there. About 100 years since Antarctica  was discovered, Nimrod Expedition studied the Antarctica. Eric Marshall and Edgeworth David, Jameson Adams are member there. They are reflected in the photograph on the right. I think that they would not have thought that Antarctica is a place so cold and I wonder they survive in very cold environment. Also, I think their courage to go to a place unknown is great. Their quest is so much stronger. I want to emulate their courage and cherish the quest such as children. Currently, scientific observation has been made in the Antarctic.
By the way do you know the story that Antarctica might be the legendary continent "Atlantis"?  Atlantis is a legendary island that appeared in the books of the ancient Greek philosopher. Until now, it was believed that Atlantis is a fictional island. But on 10 September 2012, There was news that the huge ancient pyramid was discovered in the Antarctic. Why there was such a discovery now. The reason is global warming. The ice melts due to global warming, and the ground has been exposed. Aside the cause, history may vary greatly depending on this discovery. If Antarctica is Atlantis, it is news that surprised the world. You might see a similar discovery in the future, because there are many secrets in Antarctica. So I want to focus on the future history of  Antarctic that will become apparent.
